PROS AND CONS

For those who can’t wait to use the new gadget immediately, Logitech G27 Racing Wheel is great news! It is so easy to use – just download Logitech Profiler then plug wheel in! If you’re using PS3, just plug it in!

With all the parts well designed, play for hours undisturbed by suspension of power because this wheel can amazingly withstand heat. With easy heel-and-toe on the adjustable steel pedals, have a real-feel of the race road while maintaining unbelievably powerful force feedback minus the noise!

Compared to G25, another cool feature to this model is the set of tachometer LEDs on the wheel, plus some more buttons on the steering wheel which allows customization.  Once you get going, you will realize how the control buttons are perfectly situated, plus grips adequately placed for players doing the 9-3 and 10-2 hand positions.

However the shifter clamps aren’t very easy to use and appear to be useless since one has to hold the wheel with both hands 99% of the time. And easy as it is to install, you just can’t ignore the miles of cable, so to speak, that are so visible. That makes it difficult to have G27 hanging around all the time without compromising safety.

G27′s steel gas, brake and clutch pedals look neat, but the most painful experience for this beautiful model is its brake pedal. You have to exert extra effort to tip it backwards before slamming on the brakes.

OVERALL RECOMMENDATION

If you’re in for neat wheel games, but somewhat particular with the market price, you may find that is quite expensive. But, take a second look and you’ll surely realize how much extra you’re getting for what you consider costly. Be assured that with Logitech, you always get what you pay for or even more. With Logitech G27 Racing Wheel, you just don’t own a good steering wheel. With real metal and real leather on your hands, you are in control of the race road.

There might be some perfection that can be suggested, like eliminate some bother that goes with the setting it up, but overall, it’s still a great wheel that one would definitely recommend it to race gurus. After G25, this is bravo to Logitech!
